![]() Quinn has announced that he will present an award to abortion advocates. The Church opposes this decision. CHICAGO, IL (Catholic Online) - On November 17, Quinn is set to present the award to the pro-choice advocacy group. Quinn is praising the group for "helping rape victims."
However, only a fraction of the women who seek abortions are rape victims. The group is dedicated to electing pro-choice candidates, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the desire to seek an abortion.
The catholic Conference of Illinois issued a statement saying that Quinn had, "gone beyond a political alignment with those supporting the legal right to kill children in their mothers' wombs to rewarding those deemed most successful in this terrible work."
