A Chicago man made a very heart stopping proposal while flying over Chicago with his girlfriend. Ryan Thompson asked Carlie Kennedy to marry him, while his plane was ostensibly crashing.

CHICAGO, Il (Catholic Online) - It was all pretend, but Carlie Kennedy didn't know it at the time.

While filming everything, Ryan Thompson acted as though he had lost control of the small plane they were in. He asked his girlfriend to read off the emergency checklist while he prepared for a crash-landing.

Believing their lives were in danger, Kenendy did brave duty, reading off each line of the list until reaching the last which read "initiate ring engagement procedure." That's when she realized what was happening.

Kennedy said she was relieved and euphoric at the proposal, adding that she isn't mad at the proposal which she found to be novel and amusing, once she realized she wasn't in imminent danger of death.

Kennedy accepted, although no wedding plans have yet been made. Let's hope they don't involve an airplane.
