Disbelieving, Edwards took a snapshot of her ballot.
A Chicago woman got a ballot from the past when she stepped into her voting booth this morning. Brittney Edwards was offered a choice between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas.

CHICAGO, IL (Catholic Online) - Expecting to choose between Romney and Obama, Edwards, 25, was shocked to see the names on her ballot. She took a picture of it to document what she was seeing.

In addition to Lincoln and Douglas, several other historical and fictional names were listed on it.

It turns out this was not some elaborate form of voter fraud or a prank, but instead she had just been given a sample ballot by mistake. Sample ballots are orange, which hers was.

Poll workers quickly fixed the problem.

Still, it was amusing to see the mistake, particularly against many more dramatic reports of voting problems which are developing across the country.
